On February 14, 2026, community members gathered in Denver, Colorado for a meaningful and transformative event hosted by “Grita Tu Identidad Men” in collaboration with Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) and Grupo Los Buenos Veteranos.

Held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, the event featured a special talk by Julissa Soto titled “Opinión y Perspectiva”, a heartfelt conversation focused on healing, recovery, service, and personal growth.

A Special Talk That Inspired Reflection

Beginning at 4:00 PM, attendees gathered to hear Julissa Soto share her perspective on resilience, faith, and the power of transformation. Through personal experiences and honest dialogue, the event created a safe space for men to reflect on their journeys and embrace healing through community and leadership.

Julissa’s talk touched on powerful themes, including:

  • What sustained her when she first arrived at Alcoholics Anonymous

  • A.A. and the message to professionals

  • Service as a form of gratitude

  • Freedom under God

  • Breaking down barriers

  • The difference between boys and men

  • What A.A. is

  • Who is an alcoholic

Each topic sparked reflection and meaningful conversation among attendees, many of whom connected deeply with the themes of accountability, service, and hope.

Vision, Healing & Leadership for Men

As part of the Grita Tu Identidad Men movement, the event focused on three pillars:

Visión – Seeing beyond current struggles toward a better future
Sanación – Healing emotionally, spiritually, and mentally
Liderazgo – Becoming stronger leaders in family, community, and recovery

These principles aligned perfectly with the mission of A.A. and Grupo Los Buenos Veteranos to support men in building stronger, healthier lives.

Community, Brotherhood & Recovery

The event highlighted the importance of brotherhood and support in the recovery process. By bringing together men from different walks of life, the event fostered a sense of unity, encouragement, and shared understanding.

Through organizations like Grupo Los Buenos Veteranos and leaders like Julissa Soto, the community continues creating spaces where healing conversations can happen openly and without judgment.

This special gathering was more than a talk—it was a reminder that recovery is possible, leadership is learned, and perspective can change everything.

As attendees left inspired and encouraged, one message remained clear: when vision, healing, and leadership come together, transformation begins.
