Pharmacy Outreach Program (POP)
Empowering the Next Generation of Pharmacists
About the program
Our program is dedicated to educating and inspiring high school students, with a special focus on BIPOC and underserved communities, about the pharmacy profession. We aim to illuminate the diverse career pathways within pharmacy, emphasizing the integral role pharmacists play in patient care and healthcare teams. Through an immersive and engaging curriculum, students will gain insight into pharmacology, clinical practices, and medication safety, while also discovering how pharmacists contribute to community well-being. The program seeks to expand understanding of pharmacy student life, inspire aspirations toward a pharmacy career, and provide essential knowledge on the journey to pharmacy school. Ultimately, we strive to cultivate a more diverse and inclusive workforce, empowering the next generation of pharmacists to be culturally competent, effective communicators, and leaders in healthcare.
If your high school is ready to partner in this transformative initiative, we encourage you to reach out and explore the opportunity further. Please donโt hesitate to schedule a meeting with us to discuss how we can collaborate in shaping the future of pharmacy and healthcare education for your students.
