On Friday, March 13, 2026, the “Grita Tu Identidad” Health Clinic, in collaboration with Conectoras Montbello, opened its doors in Denver, Colorado, providing free healthcare services and essential support to families in the community.

Held at Villages at Gateway, the event welcomed families from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM for an evening focused on accessible healthcare, prevention, and wellness. With no appointments or documents required, the clinic created a safe and welcoming environment for underserved families to receive the care they need without barriers.

Free Services That Made a Difference

The Health Clinic offered a variety of services at no cost, helping both children and adults access critical medical support and preventive care. Services included:

  • Assistance with health insurance applications, including Medicaid and other programs

  • Child well-check visits

  • Sports physicals

  • Adult physicals

  • Vaccines for children and adults

These services provided families with peace of mind and practical support to prioritize their health and well-being.

Breaking Barriers to Care

One of the most impactful aspects of the event was its accessibility. Families were encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of the opportunity without the stress of paperwork or scheduling.

By removing barriers such as documentation requirements and appointments, the clinic ensured that more community members—especially immigrant and underserved families—could access the healthcare they deserve.

A Powerful Community Collaboration

This event was made possible through the collaboration of organizations and leaders committed to advancing health equity in Colorado, including:

  • STRIDE Community Health Center

  • Julissa Soto / Latino Health Equity Consulting

  • Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment

  • Casa Inmigrante

  • LUV and other local community partners

Together, these organizations united to provide life-changing services and outreach to Denver families.

The “Grita Tu Identidad” Health Clinic was more than a one-day event—it was a reminder that when organizations come together with compassion and purpose, communities thrive.

As families left with resources, medical support, and renewed confidence, one thing was clear: health equity begins with access—and access begins with action.
