On Sunday, March 8th, the Bazaar of Health made its highly anticipated return, bringing together health professionals, community advocates, and families for an afternoon dedicated to wellness, connection, and accessible care. Hosted at La Plaza Colorado in Aurora, this impactful event once again served as a hub for free health screenings, mental health support, and valuable community resources for the people who need them most.

Presented in collaboration with local leaders and organizations, the event reflected a shared mission: to create an ecosystem of care where every familyโ€”especially immigrant, refugee, and underserved communitiesโ€”can access culturally responsive support.

A Day Focused on Health & Mental Wellness

From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, attendees had the opportunity to connect with healthcare providers, nonprofits, and outreach organizations offering essential services and education.

The event featured:

  • Free health screenings

  • Mental health support and wellness resources

  • Access to community programs and services

  • Family-friendly outreach and education

  • Networking opportunities for health vendors and advocates

The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with organizations and vendors sharing information, building partnerships, and strengthening the local support network.

Building Bridges in the Community

One of the most powerful aspects of the Bazaar of Health is its ability to bring together organizations working across many sectors of care and advocacy.

This event highlighted the importance of collaboration among:

  • Health vendors and wellness providers

  • Nonprofits serving immigrant and refugee populations

  • Public health departments and outreach workers

  • Agricultural labor support and food justice organizations

  • Social workers, case managers, promotores(as), and community organizers

  • Advocates working at the intersection of health equity, justice, and care access

Together, these organizations united to:

โœ” Share resources
โœ” Strengthen partnerships
โœ” Uplift vulnerable populations
โœ” Build a more connected safety net

Community Partners Making an Impact

The success of the event was made possible through the support of incredible community partners, including:

  • Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment

  • STRIDE Community Health Center

  • La Plaza Colorado

  • Red Rocks

Their collaboration demonstrated what is possible when organizations come together with a common goal: healthier, stronger communities.

The return of the Bazaar of Health was more than just an eventโ€”it was a movement toward accessible care, mental wellness, and collective action. And as the community continues to grow, so does the impact of this incredible initiative.

Weโ€™re backโ€”and stronger than ever.
