From the Trunk of a Car to Dubai: Julissa Soto at ICAPHMS2025

The International Conference on Advances in Pharma, Health & Medical Sciences (ICAPHMS2025) was not just another gathering of health professionals. It was a convergence of purpose โ€” uniting scientists, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and innovators from across the globe, all driven by a shared mission: to transform the future of health and medicine.

With more than 25 scientific sessions, participants explored urgent issues shaping our world: regenerative medicine, personalized therapies, digital health innovations, non-communicable disease prevention, and the expanding role of AI in healthcare. The atmosphere was electric โ€” a true meeting point of innovation and humanity.

Among the leaders shaping this dialogue was Julissa Soto, whose presence represented more than professional expertise. It embodied resilience, cultural equity, and lived experience.

๐Ÿšจ From the trunk of a car to the frontlines of global healthcare.

Julissaโ€™s journey began far from global stages and policy tables. She crossed the U.S.โ€“Mexico border in the trunk of a car, growing up during Coloradoโ€™s darkest deportation era โ€” a time when ICE raids were routine and undocumented families lived in constant fear.

But what began in silence transformed into a voice that refuses to be silenced.

In Dubai, Julissa co-chaired sessions alongside scientists, diplomats, and thought leaders from over 20 nations including Germany, Nigeria, Japan, Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, the UAE, the UK, and the United States. Her message was clear:

โœจ โ€œBecause lived experience is expertise. Because immigrants donโ€™t just survive broken systems โ€” we transform them.โ€ โœจ

This was more than representation. It was proof that the healthcare revolution is already here โ€” led not only by data and science, but by stories of survival, resilience, and equity

๐ŸŒ 20+ countries. One shared mission.
To dismantle systems that fail communities and rebuild ones that truly serve the people.

Julissaโ€™s impact in Dubai extended beyond the summit. At the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, she explored partnerships linking health equity to global economic growth. Next stops include Turkey, where she will study equity-centered innovation in integrated care models, and then back to Colorado, where she will present at the Colorado Hospital Associationโ€™s 2025 Fall Conference (Sept 24โ€“26) in Colorado Springs.

As Vice-Chair of the Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Julissa is not just speaking โ€” she is disrupting, validating, and leading.

๐Ÿ”ฅ For the woman she was.
๐Ÿ”ฅ For those still in hiding.
๐Ÿ”ฅ For every undocumented person told they donโ€™t belong.

Her message resonates far beyond Dubai:

โ€œYou are not a burden. You are not invisible. You earned your place. You hold wisdom, power, and perspective. You are the future โ€” whether this country is ready or not.โ€

๐Ÿ“ธ At ICAPHMS2025, leaders didnโ€™t just exchange ideas.
They began writing policy.
They started building systems.
And they claimed space โ€” space that will never be given back.
